Sunday 6/12
9:00am: Zazen
10:00am: Dharma Talk
Dharma Teacher Myobun Esther Tishman
This human life is both wild and precious. We cannot strip-mine its beauty - i.e. leverage its precious substance - but nor should we underestimate its raw power for transformation and revolution. "Tell me,” the poet Mary Oliver asks, "what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” Buddhist teachings ask us a similar question through the language of vow and repentance, and through teaching stories like the sutra of the murderous bandit Angulimala. Join Myobun as we investigate the precious wildness of life.
