Bathing the Pure Body

During these spring days of alternating rain and sun, it feels like we are all getting a good scrub. Last week at our celebration of the Buddha Shakyamuni's birth, together we bathed the body of the baby buddha with sweet tea. What is all this cleaning about? Why wash what is not dirty?
