with Azusa McMullen
Sun: Sep 30, Oct 28, Nov 25 3-5 PM
In this series of three classes, Azusa McMullen will work with students to master some of the basics of Japanese cooking. Emphasis will be placed on the appreciation of ingredients and the expression of subtle flavor and texture. Each class will end with a chance to enjoy what has been made together. Azusa is a native of Sendai, Japan where she grew up spending much of her time at her grandparents food store, preparing and eating all manner of delicacies. She is one of the few who were lucky enough to have spent countless hours cooking with her mother and grandmother. As a fundraiser for Buddha Eye Temple this class has a fee of $20 per session plus $15 per session material fee. Registration forms are available at buddhaeye.org and at the temple.
