Thursdays, 5/20 – 6/24
6:30pm - 8:30pm (in-person and online)
Led by Senior Student Anyu Savelle
In this six-week practice-based series we will examine two bodies of compassion teachings from the Mahayana and Theravada Buddhist traditions. From the Mahayana, we will learn about and practice lojong, known in English as “mind training,” which is taught primarily in the Tibetan Buddhist traditions. From the Theravada, we will study metta or loving kindness. These teachings offer inspiration to develop deep altruism for self and others, which in turn teaches us to embrace tranquility and joy under difficult conditions.
There is no registration required, and you may drop in for any or all sessions.
